The next evolutionary step?
I am not a racist, but I do find caucasians, on the whole, more attractive than black people. I don’t know why this purely superficial preference exists. It’s merely a question of averages. I find the average caucasian more attractive than the average african. This does not mean, of course, that in a room with four white people and one black person that the black person is the least attractive in my eyes. I have close experience of the opposite being the case. (You bet, man)
This is most likely caused by the fact that, as mere animals, we are attracted to that which is familiar in terms of both genes and culture. So, evolutionarily, african people are, on the whole, mainly attracted to other african; asian people tend to be most attracted to other asian people; caucasians prefer caucasians; Belgians prefer Belgians etc. Nature’s way of making the human brain think it’s better to mate with something familiar. A purely instinctive characteristic, but beautiful and fascinating nonetheless. BBC worthy.
This is why people in inter-racial relationships are all superior. They think they’re like way further advanced evolutionary. They’re like proper smug cause they think they’re part of this cool new stage in human evolution. Like X-men or something.
I have no problem with them as individuals or as a couple, I just can’t stand how they think they’re better than everyone else in the whole world. I do think inter-racial couples are a great stage in global togetherness, they break boundaries and boot away ancient taboos.
But they don’t have to condescend to people who are generally attracted to their own genes. People who would, if presented with a person of own race and a person of another, will most likely find the person of their own race most attractive. D’you know what I mean?
I fully agree. If that was the actual case, that is. I’ve never met anyone in a inter-racial relationship that acts “all superior”… If anything, I would say they act less superior and less confident, because they know they are dating a person that most of their own social circles don’t find as attractive.
Beeing boundary breaking and new-thinking is’nt as popular where I’m from, I guess.
